  • WT Bargaining Suggestions

    The following is a list of "Recommended" bargaining suggestions from the District 3 Wire Tech Committee:

    Wire Technician Bargaining suggestions:

    1. Section 4.05 add: No Employee will be scheduled to work more than thirteen (13) consecutive days nor be required to work six (6) days per week for more than two (2) consecutive weeks without his/her consent except where acute service conditions develop caused by fire, flood, storm, or other natural disaster.
    2. Section 4.05 add: If the company utilizes a work group within a work reporting area to make a temporary transfer from, the remaining employees in that work reporting area will not be forced to work overtime without the employees' explicit consent.
    3. Section 4.05B add: Vacation days to be included in the calculation of the forty (40) hour overtime threshold.
    4. Section 4.08 add: Employees will be paid a differential of ten (10) dollars per day when being utilized as a “peer to peer” trainer.
    5. Cost Of Living Adjustment
    6. Section 4.01 revise: Employees will be guaranteed one (1) two (2) weekends off per month.
    7. Holiday rotation
    8. Weekend rotation
    9. Shift separation by 12 hour minimums
    10. PMR language
    11. Bump language
    12. SIPP up to open slots if qualified-both core and wt
    13. OT notification by 3pm requirement
    14. Moves by seniority
    15. Improve night differential
    16. Improve termination pay
    17. Improve per diem
    18. Records, counseling reduction to 6 months
    19. Increase sick time across the board
    20. Pension increases
    21. Penalty pay for work over 13 days for wts
    22. OT equalization language
    23. Add Household to bereavement
    24. Personal Reason for denial of OT
    25. BAP made by union company across the board all entities, all divisions.
